Training is available to all athletes. Our Monday and Wednesday night technical training is at Narrabeen for athletes in the 9s and above who would like to develop their skills and master their event.
Sessions range in start time starting at either 5:15pm, 5:30pm, 6pm or 6:30pm depending on the event. These must be booked in advance (bookings are open for a week in advance). Athletes can book into a particular event (all events are generally available, subject to coach availability). Back to back bookings are acceptable. Bookings are through the 'training sessions' tab, and athletes must be logged in with their username to view the sessions available to them.
Athletes will be checked in on arrival. Beginners are best suited to selecting Wednesday night training until competency is achieved.
Athletes in the 7s-8s can attend training on Monday and Wednesday nights at Narrabeen and will be guided through a range of events with a coach. Bookings are essential and parents are expected to stay and assist.
Training is also available at Seaforth oval on Wednesday nights from 5:30-7pm. This is general training that is open to all athletes, and bookings are not required.
To ensure all athletes have an opportunity to participate in training, repeated instances of booking and not attending will result in the athlete becoming ineligible to book and attend future training sessions. If this occurs two times, the athlete will be ineligible to book for the following 4 weeks.
If your plans change, please cancel as early as possible (no later than Saturday evening). For those who fall sick or become injured on the day, please cancel by lunchtime Monday so we can advise families that spots are available. You can cancel by emailing cancellations@mwlac.org.au - please note that this requires manual work by our volunteers so please avoid cancellations where possible!
Only one booking per timeslot is allowed. If an athlete is booked into multiple sessions in the same timeslot, they will be removed from all sessions.
Please note no training is given during events on Saturdays.
