Manly Warringah Little Athletics (MWLAC) is the home of little athletics (6's to 12's) and junior athletics (13's to U20's) on Sydney's Northern Beaches, based at the Sydney Academy of Sport, Wakehurst Parkway, Narrabeen. The athletics season runs over the summer period from September through to March each year with around 20 weeks of competition held on Saturday mornings from 7:15am (with the occasional Friday night twilight session from 5:30pm).  Our athletics program involves weekly competitions along with tranining sessions during the week for those atheltes who want to develop and improve. We encourage participation in a large number of events for enjoyment and skill development combined with achieving personal bests and having fun.

Unfortunately, our home synthetic track facility has been closed by the NSW Office of Sport and we have not been advised of a timeline for reopening.  As a result, for the 2024-25 summer season, weekly track events will be conducted on the grass oval at the Sydney Academy of Sport, while most field events will be conducted using the facilities at the synthetic track.  We will be supplementing these programs with competitions at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre to provide our athletes the opportunity to run on a synthetic track.

Will there be Saturday competition at Narrabeen? Yes! Like last year, we will have a 2-program cycle where athletes will compete in all events across a fortnight. The field events will be in the red zone (synthetic tartan area) and the track events will be in the green zone (the grass track near the Office of Sport motel area). · Read more
